Efektifitas Game Online “Camat (Cepat Tepat Selamat)” tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar Oleh Penolong Awam dengan Konsep Selamat Terhadap Pengetahuan Masyarakat Kota Pontianak
Sari
ABSTRACT
The high incidence of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest requires prompt and appropriate treatment. However, in reality, lay people who are closest to the victim do not understand how to provide help so that the victim cannot be saved. Lack of public knowledge about first aid in unexpected cardiac arrest victims can increase mortality rates that could have been prevented. To prepare and develop an online game as a learning media for the community as a lay helper, especially about first aid for cardiac arrest victims. This study used a quasi-experimental design. A total of 30 respondents were involved in this study who were selected accidentally. Respondents in this study were the people of Pontianak City. The results showed that the CAMAT online game was proven to be effective in increasing the Knowledge of Pontianak City Community about cardiac arrest first aid (p = 0.014). Further development is needed in the application of the website-based SELAMAT model to expand the distribution of information in various age groups in knowing information about basic life supports for cardiac arrest.
