ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate the effects of interventions related to brisk walking and lowering blood pressure in elderly patients with hypertension. The search strategy using the PubMed, ProQuest, and Google Scholar databases was limited to the years 2018 to 2024. Based on the results of database identification using PRISMA Literature Review, 522 articles were obtained, then limited to title, last 6 years, abstract (n=169), and eligibility for full-text articles (n=34) so that five (5) articles were analyzed. These five articles were included in the systematic review. Conclusion: Brisk walking exercise can significantly reduce blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension.
