Efektivitas Ekstrak Gel Daun Kemangi terhadap Penyembuhan Puting Susu Lecet pada Ibu Menyusui: Literature Review

ABSTRACT

 

The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding decreases to less than 25% within 6 weeks after birth. The reasons for stopping breastfeeding are complex and varied, one of which is the case of nipple blisters. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can cure nipple blisters is the administration of basil leaf gel (Ocimum Sanctum L). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of basil leaf gel extract in wound healing. The type of research used is literature review. The data used in this research is secondary data derived from previous research studies. The source of the data came from Google Scholar. The results showed that the effectiveness of basil leaves in wound healing indicates that this plant has great potential as a natural healing agent. Basil leaves not only have antibacterial properties, but also anti-inflammatory, which makes it a natural alternative in wound care.

ABSTRAK

 

Persentase pemberian ASI eksklusif menurun hingga kurang dari 25% dalam 6 minggu setelah kelahiran. Alasan penghentian menyusui bayi sangatlah kompleks dan bervariasi, salah satunya kasus puting susu lecet. Terapi non farmakologi yang dapat menyembuhkan  puting susu lecet salah satunya adalah pemberian gel daun kemangi (Ocimum Sanctum L). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak gel daun kemangi dalam penyembuhan luka. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah literature review. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang berasal dari studi penelitian terdahulu. Pengambilan sumber data berasal dari Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas daun kemangi dalam penyembuhan luka menunjukkan bahwa tanaman ini memiliki potensi besar sebagai agen penyembuh alami. Daun kemangi tidak hanya memiliki sifat antibakteri, tetapi juga antiinflamasi, yang menjadikannya alternatif alami dalam perawatan luka.
