Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Keberhasilan Terapi Kompresi Terhadap Perbaikan Ulkus Vena Tungkai Kronik

Ulkus vena tungkai masih merupakan masalah kesehatan yang serius karena kondisi ini masih sulit disembuhkan, seringkali menjadi kronik, dan menurunkan kualitas hidup penderitanya. Meskipun mekanisme kerja pastinya belum jelas, saat ini terapi kompresi masih menjadi pilihan utama terapi karena terbukti menurunkan angka rekurensi. Terapi kompresi memiliki variasi dalam jenis, durasi, dan tekanan yang dihasilkan. Literature review ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi lebih dalam tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan terapi kompresi terhadap perbaikan ulkus vena tungkai kronik. Metode dilakukan dengan pencarian artikel dari search engine Pubmed, Google Scholar dengan kata kunci 'venous ulcer', 'compression therapy', 'chronic leg ulcer', 'pressure of compression', 'stocking compression' dan kombinasinya yang dipublikasikan dalam 20 tahun terakhir. Faktor-faktor kompresi yang diteliti yaitu jenis kompresi, durasi kompresi, dan tekanan kompresi. Indikator perbaikan yang diteliti yaitu gejala dan kondisi klinis, angka rekurensi, dan perbaikan kualitas hidup. Hasil dari 7 artikel yang ditelaah menunjukan bahwa terapi kompresi aman dan efektif di dalam mencegah rekurensi ulkus tungkai, mengurangi keluhan, dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup. Tidak ada pengaruh  dari jenis dan durasi terapi kompresi terhadap keberhasilan. Derajat tekanan kompresi memengaruhi angka rekurensi, khususnya pada pengguna stoking kompresi.  Sebagai simpulan, keberhasilan terapi kompresi terhadap perbaikan ulkus vena tungkai kronik terutama dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kepatuhan pasien dalam menjalani terapi yang memerlukan waktu jangka panjang.
