Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) merupakan modalitas pencitraan unggulan untuk visualisasi jaringan lunak, khususnya dalam pemeriksaan muskuloskeletal ekstremitas seperti wrist joint. Tidak semua fasilitas kesehatan memiliki wrist coil khusus, sehingga penggunaan head coil dan knee coil sebagai alternatif perlu dievaluasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan nilai Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) dan Contrast-to-Noise Ratio (CNR) pada pemeriksaan MRI wrist joint sekuens Proton Density (PD) SPAIR coronal menggunakan head coil dan knee coil. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one group post-test only. Enam sampel diperiksa menggunakan MRI 1,5 Tesla. Hasil uji paired t-test menunjukkan bahwa knee coil menghasilkan nilai SNR dan CNR lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan head coil pada beberapa struktur anatomi (p<0.05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa knee coil dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif coil diagnostik pada pemeriksaan MRI wrist joint, terutama di fasilitas yang tidak memiliki wrist coil khusus.
