CASE REPORT: LOW BACK PAIN

Abstrak: Low Back Pain. Low Back Pain (LBP) adalah salah satu masalah kesehatan
yang paling umum dikeluhkan pasien. Enam puluh persen sampai delapan puluh
persen (60-80%) orang di Eropa pernah mengeluhkan gangguan ini. Menurut
pedoman klinis penatalaksanaan LBP yang dikeluarkan oleh American Physical
Therapy Association yang terbaru, angka kejadian episode pertama LBP dalam 1
tahun berada antara 6,3-15,3% dan angka kejadian untuk LBP jenis apapun berkisar
antara 1,5-36%. 24-33% penderita mengalami rekurensi dan 10,2% penderita
mengalami kronisitas. Gangguan ini dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai hal, dari
kelelahan otot, radikulopati, trauma (dari yang ringan seperti otot yang tertarik
hingga yang berat seperti fraktur tulang belakang), degenerasi jaringan (seperti
osteoporosis dan degenerasi discus intervertebralis), infeksi tulang belakang, stenosis
spinal, kelainan bentuk tulang belakang (scoliosis, lordosis, dan kifosis) hingga
kanker.
