REVIEW LITERATUR: PENTINGNYA DIAGNOSIS AWAL KARDIOMIOPATI PERIPARTUM

Abstrak: Review Literatur: Pentingnya Diagnosis awal Kardiomiopati
Peripartum. Kardiomiopati peripartum (KMPP) merupakan penyakit yang ditandai
dengan penurunan fungsi sistolik ventrikel kiri pada akhir kehamilan atau setelah
melahirkan. Pasien KMPP seringkali mengunjungi fasilitas kesehatan dengan
komplikasi dan penurunan fungsi jantung yang nyata sehingga sulit untuk
ditangani. Kasus KMPP masih sering underdiagnosis karena memiliki gejala yang
mirip dengan gagal jantung akibat etiologi lain, dan pada kasus yang ringan
menyerupai perubahan fisiologis pada kehamilan. Penanganan awal KMPP dengan
fungsi sistolik ventrikel kiri yang masih baik berhubungan dengan pemulihan yang
lebih baik dan komplikasi yang rendah. Oleh karena itu, kesadaran pentingnya
diagnosis awal penyakit KMPP pada masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan perlu
ditingkatkan agar dapat dilakukan terapi dini KMPP, sehingga menurunkan
morbiditas dan mencegah kematian ibu.
