Pengembangan Model Pendidikan Kesehatan dengan Media Audiovisual Berbasis Kearifan Lokal tentang Vaksinasi Covid-19 di Wilayah Pesisir Kalimantan Barat

ABSTRACT

 

 Health problems due to COVID-19 infection can have fatal consequences and death especially in vulnerable groups, one of which is the elderly and groups who have a history of comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular and other comorbidities. The level of vaccine safety has been widely disseminated to the public, however data on vaccine acceptance among vulnerable groups such as the elderly is still low. This research aims to analyze local wisdom-based health education methods on people's knowledge, anxiety and perceptions about COVID-19 vaccination in the West Kalimantan Coastal Region. Quasy Experiment Pretest-Posttest research design with control group design. A total of 44 subjects were divided into two groups, first group with education using videos based on local wisdom, and second group using the education method using leaflet media. Data were analyzed using the MC Nemar test to see differences before and after Health Education in the two groups. Health education using local wisdom-based videos significantly increased public knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination (p=0.017), improved public perceptions more positively (p=0.001), and reduced public anxiety (p=0.002). Good understanding and perception of the COVID-19 vaccine as well as reducing public anxiety about the COVID-19 vaccine, are expected to increase vaccination acceptance and help break the chain of spread of the COVID-19 virus.

ABSTRAK

 

Masalah kesehatan akibat infeksi COVID-19 dapat berakibat fatal dan kematian tertuma pada kelompok rentan salah satunya adalah lansia dan kelompok yang memiliki riwayat penyakit penyerta seperti hipertensi, diabetes mellitus, kardiovaskular dan penyakit penyerta lainnya. Tingkat keamanan vaksin telah banyak di sosialisasikan kepada masyarakat, namun data penerimaan vaksin pada kelompok rentan seperti lansia masih rendah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode pendidikan kesehatan berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap pengetahuan, kecemasan dan persepsi masyarakat tentang vaksinasi COVID-19 di Wilayah Pesisir Kalimantan Barat. Desain penelitian Quasy Experiment Pretest-Posttest with control group design. Sebanyak 44 subjek yang dibagi kedalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok dengan edukasi menggunakan video berbasis kearifan lokal, dan kelomok kontrol yaitu kelompok dengan metode edukasi dengan media leaflet. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji mc nemar untuk melihat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah Pendidikan Kesehatan pada kedua kelompok. Pendidikan Kesehatan menggunakan video berbasis kearifan lokal secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang vaksinasi COVID-19 (p=0,017), memperbaiki persepsi masyarakat lebih positif (p=0,001), dan menurungkan kecemasan masyarakat (p=0,002). Pemahaman dan persepsi yang baik terhadap vaksin COVID-19 serta menurunnya rasa cemas masyarakat terhadap vaksin COVID-19, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penerimaan vaksinasi dan membantu memutus rantai penyebaran virus COVID-19.
