Tinjauan Sistematis: Hubungan Kelahiran Prematur dengan Kejadian Stunting di Dunia

ABSTRACT

 

Preterm birth is a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality, often resulting in malnutrition and stunting. This study aims to review the relationship between preterm birth and stunting in children under five years old globally. This systematic review follows the PRISMA method, sourcing articles published from 2015 to 2024 in online databases such as PubMed, ProQuest, and Scopus. Four articles were selected for analysis. The results indicate that preterm birth significantly increases the risk of stunting, highlighting the importance of comprehensive interventions, particularly in antenatal care and maternal nutrition. These findings contribute to improving maternal and child health through better management of preterm births.

ABSTRAK

 

Kelahiran prematur merupakan salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas neonatal, yang sering kali mengakibatkan malnutrisi dan stunting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau hubungan antara kelahiran prematur dan kejadian stunting pada anak usia di bawah lima tahun secara global. Tinjauan sistematis ini mengikuti metode PRISMA dan melibatkan pencarian artikel yang dipublikasikan dalam database online, seperti PubMed, ProQuest, dan Scopus, dari tahun 2015 hingga 2024. Dari hasil pencarian, empat artikel dipilih untuk dianalisis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelahiran prematur secara signifikan meningkatkan risiko stunting, yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya intervensi komprehensif, terutama dalam perawatan antenatal dan zat gizi ibu hamil. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada upaya peningkatan kesehatan ibu dan anak melalui manajemen yang lebih baik terhadap kelahiran prematur.
