ABSTRACT
Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) is a common uterine bleeding disorder among women of reproductive age and may be caused by structural or non-structural factors based on the PALM–COEIN classification. This condition can negatively affect quality of life, overall health status, and increase the demand for healthcare services. Several factors are suspected to be associated with the occurrence of AUB, including age, parity, and comorbid diseases. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between age, parity, and comorbidities with the incidence of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) at Banyumas Regional General Hospital. This study used a quantitative analytic design with a retrospective method using medical record data. The sample consisted of 110 women of reproductive age diagnosed with AUB at Banyumas Regional General Hospital in 2024. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test. The results of univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents experienced non-structural AUB, as many as 75 people (68.2%), the majority were in the at-risk age group (>35 years old) as many as 104 people (94.5%), and most of them had comorbid diseases as many as 92 people (83.6%). Bivariate analysis indicated that age (p-value = 0.662) and parity (p-value = 0.915) were not significantly associated with the incidence of AUB. Meanwhile, comorbid diseases showed a significant relationship with the incidence of AUB (p = 0.004).
