Peningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Siswa Sekolah Dasar tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar dengan Model “Selamat”

ABSTRACT

 

Sudden cardiac arrest can occur anywhere and can happen to any individual. First aid should be given immediately by providing basic life support. However, in reality the number of rescuers capable of providing basic life support is limited. In Indonesia learning basic life support has not been given to elementary school students, knowledge and skills in providing basic life support are mandatory for every individual, so that victims who experience sudden cardiac arrest can be given the right help. To identify the effect of learning with the SELAMAT model on basic life support for elementary school students The design used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with pre and post test with control, namely to intervene in two groups. This study involved 60 respondents who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group, 30 respondents and 30 in the control group. The analysis that has been used in this study is the McNemar test and marginal homogeneity. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of learning with the SELAMAT model on the knowledge (p, 0.008) and skills (p, 0.016) of elementary school students. Learning the SELAMAT model can improve students' knowledge and skills in providing basic life support in cases of sudden cardiac arrest

ABSTRAK

 

Keadaan henti jantung mendadak dapat terjadi dimana saja dan dapat menimpa setiap individu. Pertolongan pertama harus segera diberikan dengan memberikan bantuan hidup dasar. Namun, pada kenyataanya jumlah penolong yang mampu memberikan bantuan hidup dasar terbatas. Di Indonesia pembelajaran bantuan hidup dasar belum diberikan pada siswa sekolah dasar, seharusnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memberikan bantuan hidup dasar sudah wajib dimiliki oleh setiap individu, sehingga korban yang mengalami henti jantung secara mendadak dapat diberikan pertolongan yang benar.  Mengidetifikasi pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model SELAMAT tentang bantuan hidup dasar pada Siswa sekolah Dasar  Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi-experiment dengan rancangan pre and post tes with control yaitu melakukan intervensi pada dua kelompok. Penelitian ini telah melibatkan 60 respoden yang dibagi kedalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen 30 responden dan 30 pada kelompok kontrol. Analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah uji mc nemar dan marginal homogenity.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pembelajaran dengan model SELAMAT terhadap pengetahuan (p, 0,008) dan keterampilan (p, 0,016) siswa sekolah dasar. Pembelajaran model SELAMAT dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa dalam memberikan bantuan hidup dasar pada kasus henti jantung mendadak.
