PERAN INTERLEUKIN-6 PADA OLAHRAGA : KAJIAN PUSTAKA

Abstract


Abstrak: Olahraga dan Interleukin-6. Otot rangka tidak hanya berperan dalam pergerakan, tetapi juga dikenal sebagai organ sekretori yang dapat menghasilkan banyak sitokin. Hal ini menjadi konsep dasar bagaimana otot rangka dapat berkomunikasi dengan organ lain seperti jaringan lemak, hati, dan pancreas, tulang, dan otak. IL-6 merupakan salah satu sitokin yang berperan penting dalam regulasi metabolism tubuh. IL-6 yang dihasilkan pada saat olahraga memiliki efek antiinflamasi. Oleh karena itu IL-6 menjadi salah satu mekanisme bagaimana olahraga dapat mencegah berbagai penyakit.
