Hubungan Konsumsi Makanan Dan Minuman Tinggi Gula Serta Asupan Karbohidrat Berlebih Dengan Kejadian Obesitas Sentral Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Malahayati

Abstract


Obesitas sentral ialah satu diantara faktor risiko utama terjadinya penyakit metabolik yang semakin banyak dijumpai pada usia muda. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan sebanyak 39 mahasiswa mengalami obesitas sentral. Pola konsumsi makanan dan minuman tinggi gula serta asupan karbohidrat berlebihan menjadi salah satu penyebab utama peningkatan lemak abdominal. Mahasiswa kedokteran memiliki aktivitas akademik yang padat dan pola makan yang cenderung tidak teratur sehingga berpotensi mengalami obesitas sentral. Untuk menganalisis hubungan konsumsi makanan dan minuman tinggi gula serta asupan karbohidrat berlebih dengan kejadian obesitas sentral pada mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran universitas Malahayati. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional analitik berpendekatan case control. Sampel berjumlah 78 responden yang mencakup 39 kelompok kasus (obesitas sentral) dan 39 kelompok kontrol (tidak obesitas sentral) dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dihimpun melalui kuesioner frekuensi konsumsi makanan dan minuman tinggi gula serta karbohidrat dan pengukuran antropometri lingkar pinggang dan IMT. Analisis datanya melibatkan penggunaan uji chi-square dan perhitungan Odds Ratio (OR). hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik jenis kelamin yang paling banyak obesitas sentral pada laki-laki 51 responden (65,4%), Konsumsi makanan tinggi gula berhubungan dengan obesitas sentral (OR=2,786; 95%CI=1,831–4,237; p<0,001), konsumsi minuman tinggi gula (OR=1,692; 95%CI=1,003–2,854; p=0,040), dan konsumsi karbohidrat berlebih (OR=2,250; 95%CI=1,344–3,766; p=0,001). Ada hubungan antara konsumsi makanan tinggi gula dengan obesitas sentral, konsumsi minuman tinggi gula dengan obesitas sentral, dan serta karbohidrat berlebihan terhadap profil obesitas sentral.
