Gaya Kelekatan (Attachment Style) Mahasiswa Keperawatan di Tangerang

ABSTRACT

 

Nursing students’ attachment style can be used as a guideline for their mental health status and it is a component that influences individual performances thus improve nurse-patient relationship and patient outcome. A preliminary study conducted in 16 nursing students in a private school of nursing found that attachment style effects nursing students learning behavior. To identify secure, insecure (fearful, preoccupied, dan avoidant) attachment style of nursing student. The method used in this study was a descriptive quantitative method. The population of the research was 1.094 people. Accidental sampling technique was used obtaining 207 people. Researchers used the Indonesian translated version of Attachment Style Questionnaire (ASQ) that was re-tested for its validity and reliability (Cronbach α = 0.49 - 0.77). 136 students (63%) had an insecure attachment style: 21% fearful, 20% preoccupied, and 26% dismissing. Further study is expected to explore how attachment style affect nurse-patient therapeutic relationship.

ABSTRAK

 

Gaya kelekatan mahasiswa keperawatan dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman untuk status kesehatan mental dan merupakan komponen yang mempengaruhi kinerja individu, sehingga dapat meningkatkan hubungan perawat-pasien dan outcome pasien. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan pada 16 mahasiswa keperawatan di satu universitas swasta dan didapati bahwa mahasiswa mengalami dampak gaya kelekatan terhadap perilaku belajar. Untuk mengidentifikasi gaya kelekatan secure, insecure (fearful, preoccupied, dan dismissing) pada mahasiswa keperawatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan populasi penelitian berjumlah 1.094 orang. Aksidental sampling digunakan sebagai teknik sampling dan mendapatkan sampel sebanyak 207 orang. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner Attachment Style Questionnaire (ASQ) versi Bahasa Indonesia yang telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas ulang oleh peneliti (Cronbach α = 0.49 - 0.77). Mahasiswa keperawatan memiliki gaya kelekatan insecure (21% fearful, 20% preoccupied, dan 26% dismissing) yang paling tinggi dengan jumlah 136 orang (67%). Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk melakukan eksplorasi bagaimana gaya kelekatan memengaruhi hubungan terapeutik perawat-pasien.
