UJI DAYA HAMBAT DAUN SUKUN (Artocarpus altilis folium) TERHADAP Candida albicans Dan Bacillus subtilis DENGAN METODE DIFUSI

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun sukun yang memiliki daya antibakteri dan antifungi. Bahan uji yang digunakan adalah daun sukun yang telah dikeringkan, diserbuk, dilakukan proses maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% dengan penggantian pelarut 24 jam selama 3 hari dan hasil maserasi di evaporasi sehingga mendapatkan ekstrak kental daun sukun. Ekstrak yang diperoleh diuji antifungi dan antibakteri dengan menggunakan sumur difusi. Konsentrasi yang digunakan adalah 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%. dengan menggunakan kontrol positif nystatin untuk jamur Candida albicans didapatkan zona hambat dengan konsentrasi 100%  sebesar 11,3 mm sedangkan untuk bakteri Bacillus subtilis menggunakan kontrol positif sefadroksil didapatkan diameter zona hambat rata-rata dengan konsentrasi 20% sebesar  9 mm, konsentrasi 40% sebesar 10,4 mm, konsentrasi 60% sebesar 10,8 mm, konsentrasi 80% sebesar 11,3 mm dan konsentrasi 100% sebesar 13,1 mm. Jadi ekstrak daun sukun (Artocarpus altilis) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans dan bakteri Bacillus subtilis dan dapat digolongkan ke dalam bahan yang mempunyai kemampuan menghambat tinggi.
