Peer Review Process

The manuscript will be reviewed by the editor. The editor will decide whether the manuscript is appropriate to the scope and focus and appropriate for the reviewer. In this part we take time 6 days of working days.

Submissions that pass the initial review will be assigned to at least one reviewers (blind peer review). Based on the review editor will first make editorial decisions. There are three possible editorial decisions (1) the manuscript is accepted, (2) be amended and re-submit, or (3) is rejected. In This part  we take time 4-6 weeks.

The time to reach a final decision depends on the number of reviews rotation, perceptive writer etc. Typically, the time frame of delivery by an average of 2-4 months a final decision.

The total time a process until publishing a manuscript depends (additionally to the factors mentioned above) on the submission date, the journal's publication schedule, authors' adherence to the publication guidelines etc. Reviewed and accepted submissions are published by Holistik Jurnal Kesehatan, average would take time 2-4 months.

 

Publication Frequency

jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen is published 2 (two) times a year in June and December. Editors accept writings about the results of community service or reflection on activities for the community that are closely related to the fields of Economics and Business, Engineering, Health, Social and other fields.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal which free services to worldwide and the content in area of nursing. The readers able to  download, copy, distribute, print, or linking to  the articles.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen (JBMM) is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement clarifies ethical attitude in a team work  in the process of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher (Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Management of Malahayati  University, Bandar Lampung-Indonesia). This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Direction for Publication

A peer-reviewed article is an absolutely necessary in the development of the quality of an article and giving feedback to the author. The author gets direct reflection regarding their article in the aim of improving of his effort.Through a peer-reviewed articles, it is part of following the scientific method. Therefore, necessary to concur in a standard attitude of the ethical direction for publication as a team who are involved, such as the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher.

The publisher takes commitment following all stages and extremely seriously in consequence of ethical responsibilities. The publisher ensures in all stages a process without affected by advertising, reprint or other commercial revenue on editorial decisions. In addition, the editorial Team a like to collaborate with other journals and/or publishers for the improving.

Publication Decisions

The editors responsible for deciding which of the articles to published. The editors adhere the policies of the journal's editorial board and requiring of  legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors  like to discussion in a team  to make final decision.

Fair Play

Regularly evaluates of articles  as  intellectual property with justice without any discrimination to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Confidentiality

The editors team prohibited spread any information about an article to anyone except to own author, reviewers, and other editorial advisers. Ensuring in the secrecy of the author is the right of dignity.

Unpublished article would like to return back to the author, removing from the database and preventing misapplication an article in the future.

Contribution in Editorial Decisions

Assignment  as a peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial could feedback  any suggestions or recommendations to the author to improving the quality of the article.

After receiving the article, the editor will immediately process and the author could follow the path of the management process until the final results of the publication.

Reviewers identified  relevant and appropriate anarticle, supported by citations. All statements that an observation, derivation, or argument reported accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer's warn to keep attention when finding any substantial similarity or overlap.

Disclosure And Conflict of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review keep on confidentially and preventing illegal use. Reviewers keep attention in conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or fellow authors, companies, or institutions.

The Author's Task

Reporting standards

The authentic an article presented by an author in referring the research result, finding data an accurately, creditable and accountability performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Insufficient contain detail and references may others by convenient to find the reference. The proceeding of data manipulation is considered a violation, an unethical behaviour and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention

The authors supply the raw data a relation to an article for editorial review, and also providing a public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases), The author's article published, the author has to retain such data in serve of information when any event of a seminar presentation.

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors make ensure that the article written is original,   of one's own and if the authors have used the statement of others, requiring an appropriate citation.

Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

The author is prohibited a publish same  an article in several journals, as indicating an unethical behaviour and unacceptable.

Acknowledgement of Sources

The author's attitude has to acknowledgment of the scientific paper of others, also requiring several citations from reputable of the journal.

Authorship of Research an Article

Authorship to be restricted, merely those who have a contribution in research process such as conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the result. The contributors to be mentions as co-authors. The main author ensures that all co-authors have an agreement, a final version of the article and going to publish.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

When the project involves a chemical, procedures or equipment that on the type of hazardous properties inherent in their use, the author to be explained clearly and identify these in the manuscript.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Authors required to expose clearly regarding a conflict such as financial conflict, substantive conflict, of interest that might be interpreted to affect of the result during a project. All financial resource support in the project needs to be disclosed.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

 

Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen has a policy of screening for plagiarism. We use  Crossref Similarity Check Powered By Ithenticate to checking the authenticity article and tracking duplicate content. Holistik Jurnal Kesehatan will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.

Before submitting articles to reviewers, those are first checked for similarity/plagiarism tool, by a member of the editorial team. The papers submitted to Holistik Jurnal Kesehatan must have similarity level less than 20%.

Plagiarism is the exposing of another person’s thoughts or words as though they were your own, without permission, credit, or acknowledgment, or because of failing to cite the sources properly. Plagiarism can take diverse forms, from literal copying to paraphrasing the work of another. In order to properly judge whether an author has plagiarized, we emphasize the following possible situations:

  1. An author can literally copy another author’s work- by copying word by word, in whole or in part, without permission, acknowledge or citing the original source. This practice can be identified through comparing the original source and the manuscript/work who is suspected of plagiarism.
  2. Substantial copying implies for an author to reproduce a substantial part of another author, without permission, acknowledge or citation. The substantial term can be understood both in terms of quality as quantity, being often used in the context of Intellectual property. Quality refers to the relative value of the copied text in proportion to the work as a whole.
  3. Paraphrasing involves taking ideas, words or phrases from a source and crafting them into new sentences within the writing. This practice becomes unethical when the author does not properly cite or does not acknowledge the original work/author. This form of plagiarism is the more difficult form to be identified.

Retraction

The papers published in the Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen will be consider to retract in the publication if :

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error)
  2. the findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
  3. it constitutes plagiarism
  4. it reports unethical research

Posting Your Article Policy

Understand Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen (JBMM)'s article sharing and posting policies for each stage of the article life cycle.

Prior to submission to JBMM
Authors may post their article any where at any time, including on preprint servers such as QuarterlyJournalEconomics . This does not count as a prior publication.

Upon submission to JBMM
Authors may share or post their submitted version of the article (also known as the preprint) in the following ways:

On the author’s personal website or their employer’s website
On institutional or funder websites if required
In the author’s own classroom use
On Scholarly Collaboration Networks (SCNs) that are signatories to the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers’ Sharing Principles (https://www.stm-assoc.org/stm-consultations/scn-consultation-2015/)

The following text should be included on the first page of the submitted article when it first is posted in any of the above outlets: “This work has been submitted to the Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen, http://ejurnalmalahayati.ac.id/index.php/bakatmanajemen for possible publication".

Upon acceptance to JBMM
If an author previously posted their submitted version of the article in any of the following locations, he or she will need to replace the submitted version with the accepted version of JBMM. No other changes may be made to the accepted article.

  4. Funder’s repository*

Final published article

  1. When the article is published, the posted version should be updated with a full citation to the original of Jurnal Bakti Masyarakat Manajemen, including DOI. He or she will need to replace the accepted version with the published article version of HJK.
