Abstract

Background: Stunting is a chronic growth and development disorder caused by long-term nutritional deficiencies, affecting children's cognitive and physical health. As a primary healthcare facility, the Palmerah District Health Center plays a strategic role in monitoring the nutritional status of toddlers through the nutrition polyclinic and the SKDN reporting system. Objective: To describe the prevalence of stunting based on age, gender, and trends in the working area of the Palmerah District Health Center from January 2024 to January 2026. Method: This study used a descriptive method with an observational approach based on secondary data from the Palmerah District Health Center from 2024 to January 2026. Results: All recorded toddlers were categorized as stunted, with cases increasing from 194 in 2024 to 228 in 2025, and slightly decreasing to 221 in 2026. The highest cases were found in the 1–4 years age group and were more dominant in males. Conclusion: The incidence of stunting remains high and is influenced by multifactorial causes such as inadequate nutritional intake, infections, and socioeconomic conditions; therefore, comprehensive and sustainable interventions are needed
