Uji Aktivitas Nefroprotektif Ekstrak Akuosa Sarang Burung Walet Putih (Collocalia fuciphaga) Pada Tikus Wistar Yang Diinduksi Gentamisin

Nefrotoksisitas akibat gentamisin tetap menjadi perhatian klinis karena peningkatan kadar urea dan kreatinin serum. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas nefroprotektif ekstrak air sarang burung walet putih (Collocalia fuciphaga) pada tikus Wistar yang diinduksi gentamisin. Studi eksperimental dilakukan menggunakan enam kelompok: kontrol normal, kontrol negatif (Na-CMC), kontrol positif (NaHCO₃), dan tiga kelompok perlakuan yang menerima dosis ekstrak 20, 30, dan 40 mg/kgBW. Kadar urea dan kreatinin serum diukur dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal–Wallis dan Mann–Whitney. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa gentamisin secara signifikan meningkatkan kadar urea dan kreatinin dibandingkan dengan kontrol normal. Namun, pemberian ekstrak tidak secara signifikan mengurangi parameter ini (p>0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak air sarang burung walet pada dosis 20–40 mg/kgBW tidak menunjukkan aktivitas nefroprotektif terhadap nefrotoksisitas yang diinduksi gentamisin pada tikus Wistar.
