Literasi Kognitif Neurosains Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dalam Pembelajaran Matematika

ABSTRAK

 

Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan otak anak membutuhkan perhatian agar dapat mendukung kecerdasan mereka di masa mendatang. Pemahaman tentang perkembangan otak anak sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses mendidik mereka pada usia dini. Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II melaksanakan pelatihan bagi para guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru dalam proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh para guru dari enam sekolah PAUD di wilayah Kebayoran Baru dan Pesanggrahan, Jakarta Selatan. Mereka mengikuti 3 tahap kegiatan pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, simulasi dan praktek. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan mereka kesempatan untuk memperbaharui konsep dan metode pembelajaran matematika di sekolah, dan mengemasnya menjadi model belajar matematika yang sesuai dengan usia anak dengan metode yang menarik. Pengajaran atas dasar pemahaman perkembangan otak dalam neurosains membantu para guru menyusun bahan belajar dasar matematika yang tepat bagi anak usia dini.

ABSTRACT

 

The growth and development of a child's brain requires attention in order to support their intelligence in the future. An understanding of children's brain development is very important in educating them at an early age. Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II has conducted training for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers in mathematics learning. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in the process of learning mathematics in class. This activity was attended by teachers from six PAUD schools in the Kebayoran Baru and Pesanggrahan areas, South Jakarta. They took part in 3 stages of training activities using lecture and simulation methods. The results of this activities provided them with the opportunity to update the concepts and methods of learning mathematics at school, and package age-appropriate mathematics learning models in a variety of interesting ways. Teaching based on understanding brain development in neuroscience helped teachers develop appropriate basic mathematics learning materials for early childhood.
