Pemberdayaan Teman Sebaya “Seni Pesan Pepsi” dalam Upaya Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Perawatan Prakonsepsi

ABSTRAK

 

Remaja mengalami masa transisi dari kanak-kanak menuju dewasa yang ditandai dengan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang berlangsung lebih cepat dibandingkan periode sebelum atau setelahnya. Hal ini seringkali menyebabkan mayoritas remaja mengarah pada perilaku kenakalan remaja termasuk perilaku seksual pra nikah karena adanya rasa penasaran ingin mencoba hal baru. Perilaku seksual pranikah yang dilakukan remaja mengarahkan remaja pada risiko kehamilan yang tidak diinginkan dan penularan penyakit menular seksual (PMS). Survei Demografi Kesehatan Indonesia (SDKI) tahun 2017 menyebutkan bahwa perilaku pranikah remaja bervariasi dari 3%-66% dari perilaku pernah meraba/ diraba  sampai perilaku berpegangan tangan saat berpacaran. Selain itu konsekuensi dari pertumbuhan dan perkembangan remaja yang pesat juga berdampak pada kebutuhan aktualisasi diri remaja menjadi sangat tinggi. Hal ini menyebabkan remaja banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan teman sebaya. Karang taruna merupakan organisasi di masyarakat yang dibentuk untuk mewadahi dan menyalurkan kreativitas remaja termasuk memfasilitasi kebutuhan pergaulan remaja dengan teman sebayanya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan prakonsepsi pada remaja melalui pemberdayaan teman sebaya di karang taruna. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui 2 tahap yaitu pelatihan teman sebaya dan pendampingan edukasi teman sebaya. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu mayoitas pengetahuan dan sikap anggota karang taruna berada pada kategori baik (60% dan 60%) setelah dilakukan kegiatan edukasi teman sebaya. Simpulan kegiatan ini yaitu pemberdayaan teman sebaya Seni Pesan Pepsi (Sejak Dini Peduli Kesehatan Prakonsepsi) dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap perawatan prakonsepsi anggota Karang Taruna Kartika Chandra Utama, Dusun Selorejo, Desa Wonorejo, Karanganyar.

ABSTRACT

 

Adolescents experience a transition period from childhood to adulthood which is characterized by growth and development that occurs more rapidly than the period before or after. It causes the majority of teenagers to lead to juvenile delinquent behavior, including premarital sexual behavior, because they are curious about trying new things. Premarital sexual behavior by teenagers puts them at risk of unwanted pregnancy and transmission of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The 2017 Indonesian Health Demographic Survey (SDKI) stated that teenagers' premarital behavior varied from 3%-66%, from the behavior of having touched/groped to the behavior of holding hands when dating. Apart from that, the consequences of rapid growth and development of teenagers also have an impact on teenagers' need for self-actualization to be very high. This causes teenagers to spend a lot of time with peers. Karang Taruna is an organization in society that was formed to accommodate and channel youth creativity, including facilitating the social needs of teenagers with their peers. This service activity aims to provide knowledge about preconception health to adolescents through empowering peers in youth organizations. This activity was carried out in 2 stages, namely peer training and peer educational assistance. The results of this activity are that the majority of youth organization members' knowledge and attitudes are in the good category (60% and 60%) after peer education activities were carried out. The conclusion of this activity is that empowering peers with Seni Pesan Pepsi (Sejak Dini Peduli Kesehatan Prakonsepsi) can improve the knowledge and attitudes of preconception care members of the Kartika Chandra Utama Youth Organization, Selorejo Hamlet, Wonorejo Village, Karanganyar.
