Program Edukasi dan Praktik Pemanfaatan Ubi Jalar Ungu untuk Meningkatkan Produksi ASI di Pustu Golo Dukal

ABSTRAK

 

Menyusui adalah proses yang alamiah bagi setiap ibu setelah melahirkan. Proses ini dapat berjalan tidak normal apabila terdapat kendala-kendala        diantaranya adalah masalah produksi ASI. Masalah produksi ASI akan berdampak pada proses menyusui dan target pemberisan ASI secara eksklusif. Tujuan kegiatan  ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang peningkatan

produksi ASI dengan memanfaatkan makanan sekitar yaitu ubi jalar ungu. Metode yang di gunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah edukasi dan praktik pemanfaatan ubi jalar ungu. Hasil: Hasil pre test dari 21 ibu menyusui, 7 orang ibu yang memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang bagaimana cara meningkatkan produksi ASI yang baik, sedangkan 14 orang ibu memilki pengetahuan yang kurang. Setelah di berikan  didapatkan bahwa dari 21 ibu menyusui, 16 orang ibu memilki pengetahuan yang baik dan 5 orang yang memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup. Setelah dilakukan pratik pembuatan ubi ungu secara bersama-sama, kemudian ibu menyusui dapat mempraktikkan kembali cara pembuatan dengan baik. Harapannya  ibu-ibu menyusui dapat melakukan praktik pengolahan makanan sekitar di rumah salah satunya ubi jalar ungu untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI.

ABSTRACT

 

Breastfeeding is a natural process for every mother after giving birth. This process can be abnormal if there are obstacles, including breast milk production problems. Problems with breast milk production will affect the breastfeeding process and the target of exclusive breastfeeding.  The purpose of this study was to increase the knowledge of mothers about increasing breast milk production by utilizing surrounding foods, namely purple sweet potatoes. The method used in this activity is education and practice of utilizing purple sweet potato. Results: The pre-test results of 21 breastfeeding mothers, 7 mothers who have sufficient knowledge about how to increase good breast milk production, while 14 mothers have insufficient knowledge. After being given, it was found that out of 21 breastfeeding mothers, 16 mothers had good knowledge and 5 mothers had sufficient knowledge. After making purple sweet potato together, breastfeeding mothers can practice how to make it well again. It is hoped that breastfeeding mothers can practice food processing around at home, one of which is purple sweet potato to increase breast milk production.
