Skrining Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) dan Pencegahan Baby Blues Pada Ibu Post Partum

ABSTRAK

 

Post-partum blues, mencakup suasana hati yang buruk dan gejala depresi ringan, sementara, dan terbatas, yang dapat berkembang pada hari-hari pertama setelah melahirkan, sesaat sebelum, selama, dan setelah melahirkan, Anda mungkin mengalami perubahan suasana hati yang normal. Ini bisa bertahan hingga 10 hari. Banyak orang tua baru yang mengalami depresi peripartum merasa lebih baik dalam beberapa minggu. Terkadang, dibutuhkan waktu lebih lama untuk merasa lebih baik, dan diperlukan pengobatan Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah melakukan skrining dan pencegahan baby blues pada ibu post partum. Metode pengabdian masyarakat dengan cara skrining ibu post partum dengan EPDS dan pencegahan baby blues. Pengabdian Masyarakat dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2024, dengan ibu post partum sebanyak 18 ibu di Ruang Nifas RSUD Sidoarjo. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat didapatkan 44.5% ibu post partum mengalami baby blues dan 55.4% tidak mengalami baby blues. Sebagian besar ibu post partum tidak mengalami baby blues. Akan tetapi masih ada yang mengalami baby blues, sehingga perlu pencegahan terjadinya komplikasi depresi post partum, peran suami dan keluarga sangat dibutuhkan dalam memberikan dukungan dan motivasi pada ibu post partum, pengenalan dan skrining secara dini perlu dilakukan dengan skrining EPDS.

ABSTRACT

 

post-partum blues, includes low mood and mild, temporary, and limited symptoms of depression, which can develop in the first days after giving birth, just before, during, and after giving birth, you may experience normal mood swings. This can last up to 10 days. Many new parents who experience peripartum depression feel better within a few weeks. Sometimes, it takes longer to feel better, and treatment is needed. The aim of community service is to screen and prevent baby blues in post partum mothers. Method by screening post partum mothers with EPDS and preventing baby blues. Community Service was carried out in April 2024, with 18 post partum mothers in the Postpartum Room at Sidoarjo Regional Hospital. Results of community service activities showed that 44.5% of post partum mothers experienced baby blues and 55.4% did not experience baby blues. Conclusion is that most post partum mothers do not experience baby blues. However, there are still those who experience baby blues, so it is necessary to prevent complications from post partum depression, the role of husbands and families is very much needed in providing support and motivation to post partum mothers, early recognition and screening needs to be done with EPDS screening.
