ABSTRACT

Reproductive health care is critical for adolescents, who make up 16% of the global population, but many have unmet needs. They often face barriers such as lack of knowledge and access to health services. Policies need to be improved to provide safe, accurate and affordable reproductive health education and services. The aim of this activity is to increase teenagers' knowledge and understanding of reproductive health. The method used is structured education through lectures and questions and answers about reproductive health for ± 60 minutes. The results of the service show a significant increase in teenagers' knowledge about reproductive health. Previously, knowledge scores ranged from 39 to 72, with an average of 53. After receiving education, knowledge scores increased to 61 to 89, with an average of 76. Based on category, before providing education, the majority of teenagers (78%) had knowledge less about reproductive health. After education, the majority (58%) have gained good knowledge about reproductive health. It can be concluded that assistance in the form of providing structured education can significantly increase teenagers' understanding of reproductive health.
