Edukasi Patient Safety pada Pasien dan Keluarga Pasien dalam Rangka Pencegahan Insiden Keselamatan Pasien

ABSTRAK

 

Keselamatan pasien merupakan sebuah kegiatan terencana yang ditujukan untuk mencegah terjadinya bahaya terhadap pasien dengan berfokus pada pelayanan kesehatan yang aman, menghindari kesalahan, belajar dari kesalahan yang terjadi dan menjadikan budaya keselamatan yang melibatkan tenaga kesehatan, organisasi, pasien dan keluarga pasien. Kegiatan pengabdian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan peran pasien dan keluarga dalam pemberian layanan kesehatan untuk menghindari atau memperkecil risiko terjadinya insiden keselamatan pasien. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 28 Februari 2024 menggunakan pendekatan edukasi dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari edukasi ini terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang konsep keselamatan pasien dan 6 sasaran keselamatan pasien sebesar 22.5% dan psikomotorik berupa teknik cuci tangan yang benar sebesar 90%. Efektivitas edukasi yang diberikan sebesar 56.25% yang berarti tingkat efektivitas edukasi ini berada dalam kategori sedang. Keluarga merupakan unit terdekat dengan pasien, sehingga keterlibatan keluarga dalam perawatan menjadi sangat penting, terutama untuk menghindari terjadinya insiden keselamatan pasien. Kerjasama dari penyedia layanan, pasien dan keluarga akan menjadi solusi terbaik dalam mewujudkan keselamatan pasien yang juga akan berujung pada kepuasan pasien terhadap layanan yang diberikan serta tercapainya indikator nasional mutu pelayanan kesehatan.

ABSTRACT

 

Patient safety is a planned activity aimed at preventing harm to patients by focusing on safe health services, avoiding errors, learning from errors that occur and making a safety culture that involves health workers, organizations, patients and patient families. This devotion activity is aimed at increasing the role of patients and families in health care delivery to avoid or minimize the risk of patient safety incidents. This devotion was carried out on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 using an educational approach with the stages of preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of this education were an increase in knowledge about the concept of patient safety and 6 patient safety goals by 22.5% and psychomotor skills in the form of proper hand washing techniques by 90%. The effectiveness of the education provided is 56.25%, which means that the effectiveness of this education is in the medium category. The family is the closest unit to the patient, so family involvement in care is very important, especially to avoid patient safety incidents. Cooperation from service providers, patients and families will be the best solution in realizing patient safety which will also lead to patient satisfaction with the services provided and the achievement of national indicators of health service quality.
