Skrining Dan Monitoring Sport Nutrition Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Physical Fitness Pada Atlet Laki-Laki

ABSTRAK

 

Sport nutrition (nutrisi olahraga) merupakan salah satu faktor penentu physical fitness (kebugaran fisik) karena dapat menjaga keseimbangan berat badan dan komposisi lemak tubuh sehingga akan berpengaruh dalam menghambat kelelahan, mengurang risiko cidera yang akhirnya berdampak terhadap prestasi atlet. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan skrining dan monitoring nutrisi olahraga pada atlet laki-laki khususnya cabang olahraga sepakbola dan bola voli. Total sebanyak 19 orang atlet yang terdiri dari 11 atlet sepakbola dan 8 atlet bola Voli, berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan berusia antara 15-18 tahun diikutkan sebagai peserta pada kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan meliputi: skrining dan monitoring status gizi atlet dengan mengukur anthropometri (berat badan, tinggi badan, dan Indeks massa tubuh) dan melakukan pemeriksaan komposisi lemak tubuh.Didapatkan sebanyak 15 (78,95%) atlet dengan status gizi normal, 4 orang (21,05%) atlet dengan status gizi overweight (berat berlebih). Hasil pemeriksaan persentase lemak tubuh menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 13 (68,42%) atlet dengan komposisi lemak tubuh normal, dan sisanya masing-masing 3 atlet memiliki komposisi lemak tubuh sedang (15,79%) dan tinggi  (15,79%).  Deteksi dan monitoring status nutrisi dapat memberikan gambaran status gizi atlet, dengan demikian dapat memberikan intervensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan nutrisi untuk latihan fisik atlet. Pemeriksaan status gizi pada atlet perlu dilakukan setiap pagi hari sebelum memulai latihan.

ABSTRACT

 

Sports nutrition is one of the determining factors of physical fitness because it can maintain the balance of body weight and body fat composition, which inhibits fatigue and reduces the risk of injury, ultimately impacting athlete performance. This community service activity aims to screen and monitor sports nutrition for male athletes, especially in football and volleyball. A total of 19 athletes, consisting of 11 football athletes and 8 volleyball athletes, male and aged between 15 and 18 years old, were included as participants in this community service activity. The community service activities carried out include screening and monitoring the nutritional status of athletes by measuring anthropometry (weight, height, and body mass index) and conducting body fat composition examinations. A total of 4 athletes (21.05%) had an overweight nutritional status, while 15 athletes (78.95%) had a normal nutritional status. The analysis of body fat percentage revealed that three athletes each had moderate (15.79%) and high (15.79%) body fat composition, while thirteen athletes (68.42%) had normal body fat composition. Detection and monitoring of nutritional status can provide an overview of the nutritional status of athletes, thus providing interventions that are in accordance with the nutritional needs for physical exercise of athletes. Examination of the nutritional status of athletes needs to be done every morning before starting training.
