Edukasi “Stop Bullying” Wujudkan Generasi Emas yang Sehat Jiwa

ABSTRAK

 

Bullying merupakan salah satu perilaku penyimpangan sosial yang marak dilakukan oleh anak usia sekolah yang memiliki dampak serius bagi korban bullying baik secara fisik maupun psikologis. Pentingnya edukasi tentang stop bullying pada anak adalah karena pada usia sekolah anak barada pada tahapan esensial dalam kehidupan, dimana anak memiliki angan yang sangat besar untuk menghadapi hal baru dan akan mudah terpengaruh oleh lingkungan. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan berupa edukasi pada siswa SD sebanyak 29 orang. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini merupakan salah satu kegiatan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang bullying sebagai upaya pembentukan generasi emas yang sehat jiwa. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat didapatkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa tentang perilaku bullying sebelum dilakukan edukasi hampir separuh 44,8% memiliki pengetahuan kurang baik dan setelah diberikan edukasi pengetahuan siswa meningkat, dimana lebih dari separuh 55,2% siswa memiliki pengetahuan baik. Pemberian edukasi tentang bullying dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang bullying sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya bullying antar siswa. Harapanya adalah sekolah dapat melanjutkan pemberian edukasi tentang bullying dengan cara yang lebih menarik serta membuat program yang terjadwal untuk memberikan edukasi tentang bullying.

ABSTRACT

 

Bullying is one of the social deviant behaviors that is rampant among school-age children that has a serious impact on victims of bullying both physically and psychologically. The importance of education about stop bullying in children is because at school age children are at an essential stage in life, where children have a very large desire to face new things and will be easily influenced by the environment. Community service was carried out in the form of education for 29 elementary school students. This community service is one of the Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi activities which aims to increase students' knowledge about bullying as an effort to form a mentally healthy golden generation. The results of the evaluation of community service activities found that students' knowledge of bullying behavior before education was almost half 44.8% had poor knowledge and after education was given, students' knowledge increased, where more than half 55.2% of students had good knowledge. Providing education about bullying can increase students' knowledge about bullying so that it can prevent bullying between students. The hope is that schools can continue to provide education about bullying in a more interesting way and create a scheduled program to provide education about bullying.
