Pengaruh Meotde Simulasi Praktikum Pelatihan Perioperatif terhadap Pengetahuan dan Ketrampilan Perawat Kamar Bedah di Provinsi Bali
Sari
ABSTRAK
Perawat kamar bedah memiliki peran sentral dalam menjamin keselamatan pasien selama proses pembedahan. Kompetensi tinggi baik dalam pengetahuan maupun keterampilan perioperatif sangat diperlukan. Namun, pelatihan konvensional masih dominan menekankan aspek kognitif, sehingga keterampilan praktis kurang terasah.

ABSTRACT
Operating room nurses play a central role in ensuring patient safety during surgical procedures. High competence in both knowledge and perioperative skills is essential. However, conventional training methods tend to emphasize cognitive aspects, leaving practical skills less developed. Practical simulation methods are considered effective in bridging this gap. This activity aimed to determine the effect of perioperative training using practical simulation methods on improving the knowledge and skills of operating room nurses in Bali Province. This community service program (PKM) was conducted over four consecutive days by providing perioperative theory sessions and practical simulation training. A pre-test was administered before the intervention, followed by post-test and skill assessments after the material delivery and simulation. A total of 49 operating room nurses participated in the training. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge scores between the pre-test and post-test. In addition, participants demonstrated good skills in scrubbing, gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument handling. These findings confirm that practical simulation methods are effective in enhancing both technical and cognitive competencies of operating room nurses. Practical simulation methods have a positive impact on improving the knowledge and skills of operating room nurses. Simulation-based training can serve as an applicable alternative learning strategy to support the improvement of perioperative care quality and patient safety in the operating room.
