Pencegahan Anemia pada Ibu Hamil dengan Rosella dan Madu melalui Pemberdayaan Kader Kesehatan di Desa Wanajaya Cibitung Bekasi

ABSTRAK
Anemia pada ibu hamil masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang dapat berdampak pada ibu maupun janin. Upaya pencegahan diperlukan melalui pendekatan yang sederhana, alami, serta melibatkan peran masyarakat. Rosella dan madu diketahui memiliki kandungan gizi yang bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan kader kesehatan dalam mencegah anemia pada ibu hamil melalui pemanfaatan rosella dan madu, sekaligus memperkuat peran kader dalam memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan pemberdayaan kader kesehatan melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan praktis pembuatan olahan rosella dan madu, serta pendampingan dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada ibu hamil di Desa Wanajaya, Cibitung, Bekasi. Kader kesehatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai pencegahan anemia, mampu mempraktikkan pembuatan minuman rosella madu, dan lebih percaya diri dalam melakukan edukasi kepada ibu hamil. Peserta juga memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan ini karena dinilai bermanfaat dan mudah diaplikasikan. Pemberdayaan kader kesehatan melalui edukasi dan praktik pengolahan rosella madu terbukti efektif meningkatkan kapasitas kader dalam upaya pencegahan anemia pada ibu hamil. Program ini berpotensi untuk dikembangkan lebih luas sebagai intervensi berbasis masyarakat.

ABSTRACT
Anemia during pregnancy remains a public health concern that may adversely affect both mother and fetus. Preventive efforts require simple and natural approaches while also involving community participation. Roselle and honey are known to contain nutrients that support the improvement of hemoglobin levels. This program aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of community health cadres in preventing anemia among pregnant women through the utilization of roselle and honey, while also strengthening their role in providing health education to the community. The community service program was carried out by empowering health cadres through educational sessions, hands-on training in preparing roselle–honey beverages, and mentoring activities to support their ability to deliver information to pregnant women in Wanajaya Village, Cibitung, Bekasi. Health cadres demonstrated improved knowledge about anemia prevention, successfully practiced the preparation of roselle–honey drinks, and gained greater confidence in educating pregnant women. Participants responded positively, noting that the activities were useful and easy to implement. Empowering health cadres through education and practical training in roselle–honey preparation proved effective in enhancing their capacity to prevent anemia in pregnant women. This program has the potential to be expanded as a community-based intervention.
