Peningkatan Pengetahuan Kader Posyandu melalui Edukasi dan Demo Mpasi untuk Pencegahan Stunting

ABSTRAK
Stunting Adalah bentuk lain dari kegagalan pertumbuhan yang diakibatkan karena adanya malnutrisi kronik. Stunting mencerminkan pertumbuhan linear yang buruk dan terakumulasi selama periode pra dan pasca melahirkan, dikarenakan asupan gizi yang kurang serta adanya infeksi kronis maupun berulang. MPASI berkontribusi pada stunting dikarenakan asupan gizi tidak mencukupi, kualitas makanan tidak baik, serta waktu pemberiannya dan porsi yang tidak tepat. Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kader posyandu tentang stunting dan MPASI sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Metode pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan dan demonstrasi MPASI melibatkan sesi ceramah untuk menjelaskan teori MPASI yang sesuai pedoman gizi seimbang, demonstrasi langsung pembuatan MPASI praktis, diskusi dan tanya jawab interaktif dengan ibu kader posyandu, penggunaan media poster, serta kuesioner pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Rata-rata nilai pretest yaitu 67,3 setelah edukasi meningkat menjadi 92. Nilai p pada paired sample t-test menunjukkan p = 0,001, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan kader posyandu sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berjalan lancar dan mendapat antusias yang baik dari kader posyandu dan adanya peningkatkan pengetahuan tentang stunting dan MPASI kader posyandu sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi.

ABSTRACT
Stunting is another form of growth failure caused by chronic malnutrition. Stunting reflects poor linear growth that accumulates during the pre- and postnatal periods, due to inadequate nutritional intake and chronic or recurrent infections. Complementary feeding contributes to stunting due to inadequate nutritional intake, poor food quality, and inappropriate timing and portion sizes. Improving the knowledge and understanding of Posyandu cadres about stunting and MPASI as an effort to prevent stunting. The community service method in the form of MPASI counseling and demonstration involves a lecture session to explain the theory of MPASI in accordance with balanced nutrition guidelines, a direct demonstration of practical MPASI preparation, interactive discussions and questions and answers with Posyandu cadre mothers, the use of poster media, as well as pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure the increase in participants' knowledge. The average pretest score was 67.3 after education increased to 92. The p-value in the paired sample t-test showed p = 0.001, which means there was a significant difference between the level of knowledge of Posyandu cadres before and after being given education. The community service activities ran smoothly and received good enthusiasm from the Posyandu cadres and there was an increase in knowledge about stunting and MPASI for Posyandu cadres before and after being given education.
