ABSTRACT
Efforts to prevent the onset of stroke had to begin with increasing public awareness and promoting lifestyle changes toward healthier habits. This community service activity aimed to improve public awareness and health related to primary prevention of stroke, particularly among individuals suffering from chronic diseases. This community service activity was carried out at Puskesmas Teling Atas in Manado City on Friday, August 22 and August 29, 2025, with a total of 54 Prolanis members as participants. The activity was conducted through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed an increase in the participants’ mean knowledge scores, as indicated by the difference between the average knowledge scores before and after the training. In addition, the significance value of the analysis comparing participants’ knowledge before and after the training showed a p value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the increase in participants’ knowledge due to the training was statistically significant. The community service activity conducted at Puskesmas Teling Atas, Manado City, was successfully implemented and provided benefits to participants in improving their knowledge and behavior regarding primary prevention of stroke.
