Peningkatan Kapasitas Kesehatan Pengelola Sampah sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Stunting Menggunakan Pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development
Sari

ABSTRACT
Stunting remains an unresolved national health issue. Environmental factors, including waste management and sanitation, contribute to the occurrence of stunting. Waste management workers play an important role in maintaining environmental cleanliness. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of waste management workers in infection prevention through training on personal hygiene, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the application of work ergonomics to support stunting prevention based on a healthy environment. The methods used include education, training, demonstration, redemonstration, and mentoring with an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The stages involved socialization, training on infection prevention and ergonomics, provision of handwashing facilities and standard PPE, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the program outcomes. There was an increase in knowledge after the training. In the first training session on personal hygiene and PPE, the average knowledge score increased from 90.48% to 100%. The second training session on work ergonomics showed an average increase from 82.14% to 100%. In addition, handwashing facilities were successfully installed in the waste management area. The training and mentoring activities effectively improved the knowledge and awareness of waste management workers regarding the importance of personal hygiene, PPE use, and the application of ergonomic practices.
