Pemberdayaan Caregiver dalam Mendukung Tingkat Kebugaran Lansia melalui Teknologi Geriatrik Care di Yayasan Stroke Indonesia Yogyakarta
Sari

ABSTRACT
Stroke is a neurological disorder caused by the obstruction of blood flow to the brain that causes muscle weakness, impaired coordination, decreased motor function, and limitations in daily activities. This community service program aims to empower caregivers in conducting examinations and providing assistance for the fitness of the elderly through the use of the Geriatric Care application. The implementation method includes caregiver training regarding the use of the application, Two-Minute Step Test (2MST) examination practices, and assistance in providing exercises based on the screening results that appear in the application. The activity showed an increase in caregiver understanding by 46.3%, with an average pre-test score of 51.77 increasing to 80.37 in the post-test and a statistically significant difference (p = 0.000). The increase in fitness of the elderly was also seen from the results of the Two-Minute Step Test (2MST) with an average score increasing from 53.53 to 61.17, accompanied by a significant difference (p = 0.000), which indicates an improvement in activity tolerance and physical capacity of the elderly. This program concluded that the use of the Geriatric Care application, combined with caregiver support and targeted physical exercise, can improve the fitness of elderly stroke survivors. This technology-based support model has the potential to be implemented sustainably in communities to improve the health of the elderly.
