Edukasi Penyakit Yang di Timbulkan Akibat Dampak Banjir Bandang Pasca Bencana di Desa Raja Tua di Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang

ABSTRAK

 

Banjir dapat meningkatkan risiko munculnya berbagai masalah kesehatan pada masyarakat pascabencana. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penyakit yang ditimbulkan akibat dampak banjir bandang pascabencana di Desa Raja Tua, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 15–16 Desember 2025 dengan melibatkan 32 peserta melalui metode penyuluhan dan diskusi interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat, di mana kategori pengetahuan baik meningkat dari 40,6% menjadi 84,4%. Penyakit yang paling banyak dilaporkan adalah batuk (81,2%), diare (68,8%), dan demam (62,5%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat masih rentan terhadap gangguan kesehatan pascabanjir. Kesimpulannya, edukasi kesehatan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait pencegahan penyakit pascabanjir.

ABSTRACT

 

Floods can increase the risk of various health problems in post-disaster communities. This community service activity aimed to improve community knowledge regarding diseases associated with post-flood conditions in Raja Tua Village, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The activity was conducted on December 15–16, 2025, involving 32 participants through health education sessions and interactive discussions. Evaluation was carried out using pretest and posttest questionnaires. The results showed an increase in knowledge levels, with the proportion of participants in the good knowledge category rising from 40.6% to 84.4%. The most commonly reported post-flood health problems were cough (81.2%), diarrhea (68.8%), and fever (62.5%). These findings indicate that the community remains vulnerable to post-flood health issues. In conclusion, health education is effective in improving community knowledge regarding the prevention of post-flood diseases.
