Pelatihan Bagi Masyarakat Mengenai “Pertolongan Pertama Pada Cedera Orang Lanjut Usia” Di Kelurahan Limo Depok Jawa Barat

ABSTRAK

 

Cedera atau trauma adalah kelainan yang terjadi pada tubuh yang mengakibatkan timbulnya nyeri, panas, merah, bengkak, dan tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik pada otot, tendon, ligament, persendian, maupun tulang akibat aktifitas gerak yang berlebihan atau kecelakaan. Cidera akibat jatuh,  sering terjadi pada lanjut usia, penyebab tersering diantaranya dari dalam dirinya sendiri (gangguan sensorik, kognitif, sistem saraf pusat) yang menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan keseimbangan, kekuatan otot, dan fleksibilitas otot menurun, keadaan lingkungan rumahnya yang berbahaya (alat rumah tangga yang tua/ tidak stabil, lantai yang licin dan tidak rata, dll). Setelah pelatihan singkat, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam memberikan penangan cedera pada lansia di kelurahan limo, depok jawa barat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan tentang penanganan cidera pada lansia. Dari kegiatan ini peserta aktif dalam dalam mengikulti kegiatan pelatihan dan mampu dalam menangani cidera pada lansia. Pemberdayaan masyarkat melalui pelatihan penanganan cidera pada lansia mampu meningkatakan pengetahuan tentang jenis–jenis cidera serta penanganan cidera pada lansia.

ABCTRACT

 Injury or trauma is a disorder that occurs in the body that results in pain, heat, redness, swelling, and unable to function properly in muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and bones due to excessive movement activities or accidents. Injuries due to falls or geriatric giant, often occur in the elderly, the most common causes are from within themselves (sensory, cognitive, central nervous system disturbances) which causes a decrease in balance, muscle strength, and muscle flexibility decrease, the condition of the home environment is dangerous (old/unstable household appliances, slippery and uneven floors, etc.). After a short training, it is expected to increase knowledge and ability in providing injury management to the elderly in Limo Village, Depok, West Java. This activity is carried out by providing training on handling injuries to the elderly. The result of this activity is that participants are active in participating in training activities and are able to handle injuries to the elderly. From this activity, the participants were active in participating in training activities and were able to handle injuries to the elderly. Community empowerment through injury management training in the elderly is able to increase knowledge about the types of injuries and the handling of injuries in the elderly.
