Peningkatan Kapasitas Masyarakat terkait Terapi Pijat Swedia pada Pasien Hipertensi melalui Media Virtual

ABSTRAK

 

Penggunaan terapi komplementer dan alternatif untuk pengendaalian hipertensi telah meningkat di seluruh dunia. Informasi terapi komplementer sangat penting untuk diketahui oleh masyarakat. Pendidikan kesehatan merupakan solusi dalam pengendalian kasus hipertensi. Pendidikan kesehatan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam memahami terapi pijat Swedia. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berupa webinar dengan tema “Pendidikan Kesehatan Terapi Pijat Swedia pada Pasien Hipertensi (TEPIS)” dilakukan pada 23 November 2021 melalui media virtual Zoom Meeting dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi yang diikuti oleh 20 peserta.  Terdapat perbedaan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah pendidikan kesehatan. Sebelum dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan, skor rata-rata 20 peserta yaitu 37,15 dan setelah diberikan pendidikan kesehatan skor rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 98,85. Pendidikan kesehatan yang dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait terapi pijat swedia pada masyarakat.

ABSTRACT

 

The use of complementary and alternative therapies for hypertension control has increased worldwide. Information on complementary therapies is very important for the public to know. Health education is a solution in controlling cases of hypertension. Health education was carried out to increase community capacity in understanding Swedish massage therapy. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat in the form of a webinar with the theme " Pendidikan Kesehatan Terapi Pijat Swedia pada Pasien Hipertensi (TEPIS)" held on November 23, 2021 through the virtual Zoom Meeting media using the lecture and discussion method which was attended by 20 participants. There was a change in the knowledge score before and after health education. Before health education was carried out, the average score of 20 participants was 37.15 and after being given health education the average score increased to 98.85. Health education can increase knowledge related to Swedish massage therapy in the community.
