Optimalisasi Posyandu Lansia dalam Implementasi Status Gizi dan Kesehatan Reproduksi Menuju Lansia Mandiri di Kabupaten Karawang

ABSTRAK

 

Menurut WHO, di kawasan Asia Tenggara populasi Lansia sebesar 8% atau sekitar 142 juta jiwa. Pada tahun 2050 diperkirakan populasi Lansia meningkat 3 kali lipat dari tahun ini. Pada abad ke-21 tantangan khusus bidang kesehatan dari terus meningkatnya jumlah lansia yaitu timbulnya masalah degeneratif dan Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) seperti diabetes mellitus, hipertensi, dan gangguan-gangguan kesehatan jiwa lainnya. Salah satu pencengahan penyakit degeneratif bisa dicegah dengan kebutuhan status gizi, terutama monitoring intake karbohidrat dalam tuhuh pada setiap lansia dan Kesehatan Reproduksi pada lansia harus diperhatikan. Berdasarkan survey pendahuluan yang ditemukan  terdapat posyandu lansia yang tidak optimal sehingga pengetahuan lansia terhadap kebutuhan status gizi lansia dan kesehatan reproduksi kurang, tidak ada  aktivitas fisik pada lansia, tidak adanya kajian keagamaan yang dilakukan lansia, tidak adanya keterampilan pada lansia. Dengan demikian untuk bisa mengoptimalkan posyandu lansia harus adanya pendampingan khusus oleh para kader sesuai dengan tujuan menjadikan para lansia produktif dan mandiri. Adapun metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan melakukan pelatihan senam hipertensi, keterampilan dan pengukuran karbohidrat dengan aplikasi berbasis Android, memberikan materi tentang status gizi dan kesehatan reproduksi dalam bentuk ceramah dan tanya jawab. Dari hasil implementasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang sudah dilakukan dengan jumlah responden 50 lansia. Pengetahuan lansia terhadap kebutuhan status gizi dan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi pada lansia masih rendah terdapat 90% lansia tidak tahu tentang kebutuhan status gizi dan kesehatan reproduksi lansia. Lansia yang mengikuti senam sebanyak 6%, jumlah lansia dalam melakukan keterampilan juga rendah sebanyak 10%, dan lansia yang mengikuti kajian keagamaan sebanyak 20%. Alat keterampilan yang digunakan dengan  alat habis pakai menjadi keterampilan yang bisa dijual seperti bekas air mineral yang dikumpulkan, lalu didaur ulang hingga menjadi bahan yang bermanfaat seperti tempat air mineral, tempat pensil.  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat dilakukan secara optimal dan bisa dikembangkan untuk wilayah RW yang lain, dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan lansia bisa lebih produktif dan mandiri serta tidak ketergantungan dengan keluarganya.

ABSTRACT

 

According to WHO, in the Southeast Asian region, the elderly population is 8% or around 142 million people.2 By 2050 it is estimated that the elderly population will increase 3 times from this year. In the 21st century, the specific challenges in the health sector from the continued increase in the number of the elderly are the emergence of degenerative problems and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and other mental health disorders. One of the diversions of degenerative diseases can be prevented by the need for nutritional status, especially monitoring the intake of carbohydrates in the elderly, and Reproductive Health in the elderly must be considered. Based on a preliminary survey, it was found that there are posyandu for the elderly that are not optimal so that the elderly's knowledge of the nutritional status needs of the elderly and reproductive health is lacking, there is no physical activity in the elderly, there is no religious study conducted by the elderly, there are no skills in the elderly. Thus, to be able to optimize the posyandu for the elderly, there must be special assistance by cadres to make the elderly productive and independent. The method of community service activities by conducting hypertension gymnastics training, skills, and carbohydrate measurement with an Android-based application, providing material on nutritional status and reproductive health in the form of lectures and questions and answers. From the results of the implementation of community service that has been carried out with the number of respondents 50 elderly. The elderly's knowledge of nutritional status needs and reproductive health knowledge in the elderly is still low, there are 90% of the elderly do not know about their nutritional status and reproductive health needs of the elderly. The number of elderly who participated in gymnastics was 6%, the number of elderly in performing skills was also low by 10%, and the number of elderly who participated in religious studies was 20%. Skill tools used with consumables become skills that can be sold such as used mineral water collected, then recycled into useful materials such as mineral water holders, and pencil cases. This community service activity is expected to be carried out optimally and can be developed for other RW areas, with this community service activity it is hoped that the elderly can be more productive and independent and not dependent on their families.
