Alternatif Efektif Menurunkan Anemia pada Ibu Hamil dengan Peningkatan Pengetahuan tentang Manfaat Olahan Rumput Laut dan Kerang Darah di Pustu Olilit Timur

ABSTRAK

 

Ibu hamil merupakan kelompok yang rawan menderita anemia, anemia merupakan salah satu masalah gizi, yang di sebabkan karena kurang gizi. Penanganan anemia dengan cara meningkatan kadar hemoglobin dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan suplemen dan juga dari makanan. Salah satu bahan makanan yang dapat digunakan untuk penanganan anemia akibat kurangnya zat besi yaitu rumput laut (Eucheuma sp) dan kerang darah (anadara granosa). Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memandirikan ibu hamil untuk mengkonsumsi rumput laut dan kerang darah sebagai upaya peningkatan kadar haemoglobin. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan melalui media leafleat. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan tahapan pre dan post test sebelum dan setelah dilakukan penyuluhan. Dari hasil pre test dan post test yang dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan di ketiga aspek yang diukur setelah dilakukan penyuluhan. Persentase peserta yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik terkait manfaat rumput laut meningkat dari 50% menjadi 75%, sedangkan tingkat pengetahuan tentang manfaat kerang darah terjadi peningkatan sebesar 31%, dari 65% menjadi 85%, dan peningkatan terbesar terlihat pada pengetahuan pengolahan rumput laut dan kerang darah dari 50% menjadi 80%. Hal ini mengindikasikan penyuluhan tentang manfaat dan pengolahan rumput laut dan kerang darah sangat baik dalam meningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil. Terjadi rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan setelah dilakukan kegiatan masyarakat sebanyak 80 % dari jumlah total kuesioner.

ABSTRACT

 

Pregnant women are a group that is prone to suffer from anemia, anemia is a nutritional problem, which is caused by malnutrition. Handling anemia by increasing hemoglobin levels can be done using supplements and also from food. One of the food ingredients that can be used to treat anemia due to lack of iron is seaweed (Eucheuma sp) and blood clam (anadara granosa). The purpose of this service activity is to make pregnant women independent to consume seaweed and blood clams as an effort to increase hemoglobin levels. This activity was carried out in the form of counseling through leaflet media. In this activity, pre and post test stages were carried out before and after counseling was carried out. From the results of the pre-test and post-test conducted, it can be seen that there is an increase in knowledge in the three aspects that are measured after counseling is carried out. The percentage of participants who had a good level of knowledge regarding the benefits of seaweed increased from 50% to 75%, while the level of knowledge about the benefits of blood clams increased by 31%, from 65% to 85%, and the biggest increase was seen in knowledge of processing seaweed and shellfish. blood from 50% to 80%. This indicates that counseling about the benefits and processing of seaweed and blood clams is very good in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women. There was an average increase in knowledge after community activities as much as 80% of the total number of questionnaires.
