ABSTRACT

 

Chronic wound is the healing period after a predetermined time in the process of physiological wound healing. However, wounds can be healed with proper wound care. In chronic wound care for the wound healing process, zinc cream and hyaluronic acid can be used. To find out how effective zinc cream and hyaluronic acid are for chronic wound healing.  The research design is in the form of a quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design approach, namely this design is carried out with initial measurements through the pretest, then given an action or intervention, after which it is continued by giving a posttest. The sampling technique used is total sampling with a sample of 30 respondents. The research instrument used was the BWAT sheet. The statistical test used is the paired sample t-test. The research results obtained an average pre-test BWAT score of 36.37 ± 7,690 and a post-test of 24.17 ± 5,408. The results showed that there was a difference between the BWAT scores before and after being given zinc cream and hyaluronic acid with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). After using zinc cream and hyaluronic acid for chronic wound healing, a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05) was obtained, so zinc cream and hyaluronic acid were effective as chronic wound care at the Bogor wound care clinic. Patients with chronic wounds are expected to be able to use zinc cream and hyaluronic acid as one of the efforts in the process of treatment especially chronic wound healing.

ABSTRAK

 

Luka kronis adalah masa penyembuhannya melewati dari waktu yang sudah di tentukan dalam proses penyembuhan luka fisiologis. Akan tetapi luka dapat disembuhkan dengan perawatan luka yang tepat. Pada perawatan luka kronik untuk proses penyembuhan luka dapat menggunakan zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid. Mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas dari penggunaan zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid terhadap penyembuhan luka kronik.  Desain penelitian berbentuk quasi eksperiment dengan pendekatan pretest – posttest design yaitu desain ini dilakukan pengukuran awal melalui pretest, kemudian diberikan tindakan atau intervensi, setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan memberikan posttest. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 responden. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar BWAT. Uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor BWAT pre test sebesar 36.37 ± 7.690 dan post test sebesar 24.17 ± 5.408. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara skor BWAT sebelum dan sesudah diberikan zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Setelah penggunaan zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid terhadap penyembuhan luka kronis didapatkan nilai p-value sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) sehingga zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid efektif sebagai perawatan luka kronik di klinik perawatan luka Bogor. Penderita luka kronik diharapkan dapat menggunakan zinc cream dan hyaluronic acid sebagai salah satu upaya dalam proses pengobatan terutama penyembuhan luka kronik.
