ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many aspects of life globally, from daily habits to one's lifestyle. With the prevention regulations against the COVID-19 pandemic, people are wearing masks more often and longer than usual. Thus, it leads to localized acne in the area covered by the mask, popularly called "mask acne." This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of medical masks and the incidence of mask acne among students of the Faculty of Medicine, Tarumanagara University, class of 2021-2022. This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 224 respondents. Data was collected using consecutive sampling techniques and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results in this study indicate the use of good medical masks (23%), moderate use of medical masks (64%), and poor use of medical makers (13%). This study shows no significant relationship between the use of medical masks and the incidence of mask acne (p-value> 0.05). Refraining from using data collection techniques through online form filling or Google forms filling in further research is recommended.
