ABSTRACT

This study explores the relationship between the activity intensity of community committees during Indonesian Independence Day celebrations and the occurrence of fatigue-related health complaints such as dizziness, mild fever, and “masuk angin” (a common local term for malaise). The purpose was to analyze whether increased organizational workload is associated with higher risk of health disturbances among volunteers. The research applied an observational analytic design using a cross-sectional approach with a sample of 135 respondents, analyzed using Chi-Square and Spearman correlation tests. The results indicated a significant relationship between committee activity levels and reported health complaints, confirming that excessive workload and insufficient rest may increase the risk of mild health disorders. The study concludes that proper task distribution, adequate rest, and preventive health education are essential to protect committee members’ well-being during large-scale community events. Future research is recommended to integrate psychosocial, environmental, and lifestyle factors for a more comprehensive understanding of health risks associated with volunteer workloads.
