Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dan Burnout Akademik pada Mahasiswa Keperawatan

ABSTRACT

 

Nursing students face high academic and clinical demands, making them vulnerable to poor sleep quality and academic burnout. Poor sleep quality is assumed to contribute to higher burnout levels. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sleep quality and academic burnout among nursing students at Universitas Padjadjaran. A quantitative correlational non-experimental design was applied. The population consisted of 923 active undergraduate nursing students at Universitas Padjadjaran (Jatinangor Campus and Pangandaran Campus). A total of 279 respondents were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), while academic burnout was assessed using the Maslach BurnoutInventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS). Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation. Most respondents reported poor sleep quality (81%). Academic burnout was predominantly at a moderate level (52.3%). Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between sleep quality and academic burnout (p = 0.002), with a very weak positive correlation (r = 0.186). There is a significant association between sleep quality and academic burnout among nursing students at Universitas Padjadjaran. Poorer sleep quality tends to be followed by higher burnout levels, although the correlation strength is very low.

ABSTRAK

 

Mahasiswa keperawatan menghadapi tuntutan akademik dan praktik klinik yang tinggi sehingga rentan mengalami gangguan kualitas tidur serta burnout akademik. Kualitas tidur yang buruk diduga berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya burnout akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kejadian burnout akademik pada mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan non-eksperimental. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran di Kampus Jatinangor dan PSDKU Pangandaran sebanyak 923 mahasiswa. Sampel berjumlah 279 responden yang dipilih menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Kualitas tidur diukur menggunakan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dan burnout akademik menggunakan Maslach Burnout Inventory–Student Survey (MBI-SS). Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Sebagian besar responden memiliki kualitas tidur buruk (81%). Tingkat burnout akademik responden didominasi kategori sedang (52,3%). Uji korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan burnout akademik (p = 0,002) dengan kekuatan hubungan sangat rendah dan arah positif (r = 0,186). Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan burnout akademik pada mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran. Mahasiswa dengan kualitas tidur yang lebih buruk cenderung mengalami burnout akademik lebih tinggi, meskipun kekuatan hubungan sangat rendah.
