Efektivitas Mobile Learning App dalam Edukasi dan Pemantauan Log Activity Terhadap Pencegahan Risiko Dm Tipe 2 Pada Remaja

ABSTRACT

 

The increasing risk of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus among adolescents is associated with unhealthy lifestyles, including low physical activity and high sedentary behavior. The use of mobile learning integrated with activity logs has emerged as an innovative approach to improve health literacy and promote behavioral change. This study aimed to determine the effect of mobile learning–based education on knowledge, physical activity behavior, and prediabetes risk parameters among adolescents. This study employed a quasi-experimental design involving 50 tenth-grade students of SMAN 1 Tumpang, Malang, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using knowledge and prediabetes questionnaires. Blood glucose levels and Body Mass Index (BMI) were measured before and after the educational intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The intervention significantly improved participants’ knowledge (p = 0.000). However, the Wilcoxon test showed no significant effect on blood glucose levels (p = 0.496) or BMI (p = 0.698). Mobile learning–based education combined with activity log monitoring effectively improves adolescents’ knowledge but does not significantly affect blood glucose levels or BMI.

ABSTRAK

 

Peningkatan risiko Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 pada remaja berkaitan dengan gaya hidup tidak sehat, seperti rendahnya aktivitas fisik dan tingginya perilaku sedentari. Pemanfaatan mobile learning yang terintegrasi dengan log activity menjadi pendekatan inovatif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan dan mendorong perubahan perilaku. Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi berbantuan mobile learning app terhadap pengetahuan, perilaku aktivitas fisik, dan parameter risiko pradiabetes pada remaja. Penelitian menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimen dengan subyek penelitian 50 remaja SMAN 1 Tumpang Malang. Teknik Pengambilan Sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling pada siswa kelas X. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Kuesioner pengetahuan dan prediabetes. Pengukuran Gula Darah dan IMT Remaja dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Edukasi Dan Pemantauan Log Activity Berbantuan Mobile Learning App meningkatkan pengetahuan (p= 0.000). Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar gula darah (p = 0,496) maupun IMT (p = 0,698).  Edukasi dan pemantauan log activity berbantuan mobile learning app meningkatkan pengetahuan, tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar gula darah maupun IMT remaja.
