Intervensi Pemberian Madu Pada Pasien dengan Luka untuk Pencegahan Infeksi: Rapid Review

ABSTRACT

 

A wound is a condition of damage or loss of body tissue that can occur due to trauma, whether caused by sharp or blunt objects, chemicals, physical injury agents, or changes in temperature. Honey is one substance used for wound care and to prevent infection in patients. To determine the effectiveness of honey in preventing infection in patient wound care. This literature review used a rapid review design. Articles were collected from four databases: PubMed, Sage Journals, Scopus, and Google Scholar. Articles were selected according to predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria, and seven articles met. Data were analyzed by grouping them into a data extraction table to facilitate analysis. The use of honey in wound care is effective in preventing infection in patients' wounds. Honey, as a natural antibiotic, has been used as part of non-pharmacological wound care procedures. Honey helps accelerate the growth of granulation tissue, making it effective as a wound care agent. Nurses can implement honey during wound care interventions to prevent and reduce the risk of wound infection in patients.

ABSTRAK

 

Luka merupakan kondisi rusak atau hilangnya sebagian jaringan tubuh yang dapat terjadi karena trauma, baik oleh benda tajam maupun tumpul, zat kimia, agen pencedera fisik, atau perubahan suhu. Madu merupakan salah satu zat yang digunakan untuk perawatan luka dan mencegah infeksi pada pasien. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan madu dalam mencegah infeksi pada perawatan luka pasien. Desain yang digunakan dalam literature review ini Adalah rapid revew, artikel dikumpulkan dari empat basis data, yaitu Pubmed, Sage Journal, Scopus, dan Google Scholar. Penyeleksian artikel dilakukan sesuai dengan  kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan dan didapatkan tujuh artikel yang sesuai. Dilakukan analisa data dengan mengelompokkannya ke dalam sebuah tabel ekstraksi data untuk memudahkan dalam melakukan analisis. Penggunaan madu pada perawatan luka efektif dalam mencegah terjadinya infeksi pada luka pasien.  Madu sebagai antibiotik alami memiliki digunakan sebagai bagian dari prosedur perawatan luka non farmakologi. Madu membantu mempercepat pertumbuhan jaringan granulasi, sehingga efektif untuk digunakan sebagai bahan perawatan luka. Penggunaan madu pada saat melakukan intervensi wound care dapat diterapkan oleh perawat untuk mencegah dan mengurangi risiko infeksi luka pada pasien
