Peningkatan Pengetahuan Kesehatan Masyarakat melalui Webinar Edukasi pada Masyarakat Umum: “Mengenali Warning Signs pada Stroke”

ABSTRAK

 

Pengetahuan yang lebih baik tentang faktor-faktor resiko penyebab stroke disertai dengan warning sign dari penyakit ini dapat menurunkan angka morbiditas dan mortilitas pada pasien dengan stroke. Salah satu intervensi sederhana untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ini adalah dengan memberikan edukasi penyampaian secara langsung melalui webinar. Kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan public awareness atau kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengenal terhadap stroke dan warning signs dinilai sangat kritikal dan penting untuk mengatasi kesenjangan informasi dimasyarakat terutama di masa pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan utama dari PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat umum akan pencegahan Stroke dengan mengenali tanda gejala awal dan penerapan gaya hidup sehat untuk pencegahan Stroke dalam masa Pandemi. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan secara daring melalui ZOOM Meeting dan menjabarkan materi terkait Mengenali Warning Signs pada Stroke. Target dari kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah sebanyak 86 masyarakat umum yang terjangkau oleh kelompok melalui flyer informasi yang disebarkan melalui media sosial. Berdasarkan hasil Pre-Post Test terdapat peningkatan nilai rerata 20.6 poin dari penilaian Pre-Test 68.3 poin dan Post-Test 88.9 poin. Edukasi kesehatan merupakan salah satu upaya yang di lakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait masalah kesehatan terutama Stroke terutama di masa Pandemi.

ABSTRACT

 

Improved awareness about risk factors of Stroke, combined with early warning signs of the condition, can minimize morbidity and death in stroke patients. Education in the form online webinar is one simple intervention to increase the level of understanding. The needs to increase public awareness regarding the importance of identifying strokes and warning indicators is regarded as crucial and important for bridging the information gap in community, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective of this PKM is to increase the general public's knowledge of stroke prevention by recognizing early signs of symptoms and implementing a healthy lifestyle for stroke prevention during a pandemic. This PkM is implemented online through ZOOM Meeting and describes content connected to Recognizing Warning Signs in Stroke, with the scope of material primarily educating on early signs of Stroke symptoms and implementing a healthy lifestyle for stroke prevention. The target of this activity was 86 people, reached by flyers that distributed via social media. Based on the results of Pre-Post Test, there is an increase in total average value of 20.6 points from Pre-test 68.3 to 88.9 Post-Test points. Health education is a strategy to improve public awareness regarding health issues, particularly stroke during the pandemic.
