Triangle Manajemen Callus: Zinc Cream, Hydrocoloid dan Polyurethane Foam Pada Pasien Diabetic Neuropathy

ABSTRAK

 

Diabetes neuropati adalah kondisi yang disebabkan oleh diabetes yang merusak berbagai bagian sistem saraf. Ini terjadi karena kadar gula dalam darah tinggi yang dapat merusak saraf secara bertahap. Hilang sensasi pada kaki karena neuropati diabetik dapat menyebabkan kapalan akibat tekanan atau gesekan pada kaki. Callus terbentuk di area tubuh yang mengalami gesekan atau tekanan yang berlebihan pada telapak kaki, tumit, atau jari-jari. Gesekan dan tekanan berulang pada kaki adalah beberapa penyebab callus. Salah satu metode pengobatan dan pencegahan callus adalah offloading, yang mengurangi tekanan pada kaki dan mencegah terbentuknya kepalan. Tujuan dari studi kasus ini melihat efektivitas penggunaan zinc cream, hidrokoloid dan polyurethane foam dalam manajemen callus pada pasien dengan diabetic neuropathy. WINNER score sebagai evaluasi penyembuhan luka. Kesimpulan didapatkan dengan hasil Penggunaan zinc cream sebagai balutan primer, hydrocolloid sebagai pelindung sekitar luka dan polyurethane foam sebagai balutan sekunder dan off-loading efektif dalam manajemen callus pada diabetes neuropati.

ABSTRACT

 

Diabetic neuropathy is a condition caused by diabetes that damages different parts of the nervous system. This occurs due to high blood sugar levels that gradually damage the nerves. Loss of sensation in the feet due to diabetic neuropathy can lead to the formation of calluses due to pressure or friction on the feet. Calluses form in areas of the body that experience excessive friction or pressure, such as the soles of the feet, heels, or fingers. Friction and repeated pressure on the foot are some of the causes of calluses. Off-loading is one of the methods used to treat and prevent calluses, which reduces pressure on the legs and prevents calluses from forming. The purpose of this case study was to evaluate the effectiveness of using zinc cream, hydrocolloids, and polyurethane foam in managing calluses in patients with diabetic neuropathy. The WINNER score was used to evaluate wound healing. The results showed that the use of zinc cream as a primary dressing, hydrocolloid as a protector around the wound, polyurethane foam as a secondary dressing, and off-loading was effective in managing calluses in diabetic neuropathy.
