Program Pemeriksaan Fungsi Paru pada Atlet Indoor Hockey Jawa Barat dengan Peak Flow Meter di Kampus UPI Jawa Barat

Olahraga sering dikaitkan dengan peningkatan derajat dan fungsi kesehatan. Hoki merupakan olahraga dengan intensitas tinggi yang dipercaya dapat meningkatkan fungsi paru. Selama ini belum ada data terkait gambaran fungsi paru pada Atlet Hoki di Jawa Barat. Pengukuran Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) menggunakan Peak Flow Meter (PFM) bisa dijadikan metode penilaian kualitas dan fungsi paru. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi paru Atlet Hoki Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode pemeriksaan langsung menggunakan alat antropometri seperti timbangan berat badan digital, pita ukur, tensi meter, termometer, dan Peak Flow Meter (PFM). Hasil dari pemeriksaan menunjukan bahwa PEFR dari 31 atlet hoki dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Kampus Bandung, adalah 477,09 ± 114,22 dengan nilai PEFR laki - laki yang berjumlah 538,67 ±123,01 dan nilai PEFR perempuan yang berjumlah 419,38 ± 203,04. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari pemeriksaan ini adalah nilai PEFR altet hoki berada diatas rata-rata orang normal. PEFR laki - laki lebih tinggi dari nilai PEFR perempuan. Saran pemeriksaan fungsi paru rutin diperlukan untuk memantau dan mendeteksi kesehatan paru sedini mungkin.

ABSTRACT
Respiratory diseases continue to be a burden on Indonesian society, including adolescents and adults. Related diseases include asthma, COPD, and ARI.To prevent diseases from becoming more lethal, quality monitoring of the lungs should be done. The Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) can be used to measure the quality of the lungs. With regular monitoring, lung disease can be detected early so that treatment can be carried out as quickly as possible. This dedication is intended to describe the lung function of 31 Hockey Athletes of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung The dedication was held by applying Anthropometry measurement using anthropometric instruments such as digital weight scales, measuring tapes, voltage metres, thermometers, and peak flow metres. (PFM). The results of the examination showed that the PEFR of 31 hockey athletes from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung, was 477,09 ± 114,22 with a male score of 538,67 ± 123,01 and a female score of 419,38 ± 203,04. This is due to the difference in lung volume and lung physiological function. In addition, differences in the Body Mass Index (BMI), physical activity, race, place of residence, and age also affect a person's PEFR. Routine examination is required to monitor lung health in athletes - Sports Athletes Indonesia
