Program Bina Lingkungan Sehat dan Sejahtera untuk Mewujudkan SDGs 3: Optimalisasi Peran Keluarga melalui Edukasi Pencegahan TBC pada Anak Tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Menegah Pertama
Sari

ABSTRACT
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a public health challenge that hinders the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. Preventing TB transmission through droplets requires early intervention, one of which is implemented through the Healthy and Prosperous Environment Program. This community service activity aims to optimize the family's role through education on proper cough and sneeze etiquette, as well as the use of masks, among elementary and junior high school students in RW II, Ngemplak Simongan Village. School-aged children were selected as the primary target with the expectation that they can serve as agents of change who introduce these healthy habits into their family environments. The activity was implemented using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method in small groups, comprising the delivery of educational materials, interactive discussions, and practical simulations. Evaluation was carried out through observation of the participants' active involvement and comprehension. The results indicated an increase in participants' awareness and knowledge regarding TB preventive measures. Participants were not only able to practice proper cough etiquette and mask usage independently but also demonstrated a commitment to applying these practices and reminding their family members at home. In conclusion, education targeting school children has proven effective as a catalyst in optimizing the role of the family, which ultimately contributes to the realization of a healthy and prosperous community in alignment with the SDG 3 targets.
