Peningkatan Kapasitas Kader dalam Deteksi Dini dan Pencegahan Kaki Diabetes di Cempaka Baru Jakarta Pusat

ABSTRAK
Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit tidak menular dengan prevalensi terus meningkat dan berisiko menimbulkan komplikasi kronis, salah satunya kaki diabetes. Upaya pencegahan di tingkat komunitas belum optimal karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader kesehatan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas kader dalam deteksi dini dan pencegahan kaki diabetes melalui pelatihan berbasis komunitas. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada 28 kader di Kelurahan Cempaka Baru, Jakarta Pusat, melalui edukasi, demonstrasi pemeriksaan kaki, praktik perawatan, serta evaluasi pre–post test. Setelah pelatihan, kader mampu melakukan pemeriksaan kaki sederhana dan memberikan edukasi pencegahan. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 70,00 ± 8,01 menjadi 90,54 ± 5,07, dengan selisih 20,54 poin (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan pelatihan berbasis komunitas efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader. Integrasi kegiatan serupa ke dalam Posyandu Lansia dan Posbindu PTM perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan.

ABSTRACT
Diabetes mellitus is a non-communicable disease with increasing prevalence and a high risk of chronic complications, including diabetic foot. Community-based prevention remains suboptimal due to limited knowledge and skills among health volunteers. This program aimed to improve their capacity in early detection and prevention of diabetic foot through community-based training. Conducted among 28 volunteers in Cempaka Baru, Central Jakarta, the training included education, foot examination demonstrations, foot-care practice, and pre–post test evaluation. After the training, participants were able to perform basic foot examinations and provide preventive education. The mean knowledge score increased from 70.00 ± 8.01 to 90.54 ± 5.07, with a mean difference of 20.54 points (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that community-based training effectively improved knowledge and skills of health volunteers. Similar activities should be sustainably integrated into routine community health services.
