Penyuluhan Pencegahan Infeksi dan Penyembuhan Luka Perineum Ibu Post Partum dengan Perawatan Menggunakan Gel Daun Sirih Merah 15% di PMB Satiani Aziz Tembung Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang

ABSTRAK

Sebagian besar ibu bersalin mengalami robekan pada perineum yang mengakibatkan perdarahan, oleh karena itu diperlukan penjahitan pada perineum. Lama penyembuhan luka jahitan perineum akan berlangsung 7 – 10 hari dan tidak lebih dari 14 hari. Perawatan luka perineum pada ibu setelah melahirkan saat ini lebih banyak menggunakan povidon iodine 10%. Permasalahan dilingkungan mitra berdasarkan hasil survey awal, ibu post partum belum mengetahui perawatan perineum dapat menggunakan gel daun sirih merah 15%. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan Meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu postpartum tentang pencegahan infeksi dan   penyembuhan luka perineum dengan perawatan menggunakan gel daun sirih merah 15%, Ibu Postpartum  bersedia merawat luka perineumnya menggunakan gel daun sirih merah 15% dengan benar. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat berupa penilaian pengetahuan   ibu nifas tentang perawatan perineum  sebelum   dan   sesudah   diberikan penyuluhan serta demonstrasi cara perawatan robekan perineum dengan gel sirih merah 15% dan melakukan perawatan robekan perineum dengan menggunakan gel sirih merah 15% 2 kali sehari sesuai prosedur yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat diperoleh terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu nifas menjadi 75% dalam kategori baik dan percepatan penyembuhan robekan perineum 80% luka perineum sembuh dalam waktu < 5 hari. Penyuluhan bermanfaat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu dan pemberian gel sirih merah 15% untuk perawatan robekan perineum mempercepat penyembuhan luka perineum ibu nifas. Dari hasil yang diperoleh maka diperlukan tindak lanjut pengabdian masyarakat pada sasaran dan wilayah yang lebih besar.

ABSTRACT

Most of the women who gave birth experienced a tear in the perineum which resulted in bleeding, therefore, suturing the perineum was needed. The healing time of perineal sutures will last 7-10 days and no more than 14 days. Treatment of perineal wounds in mothers after childbirth currently uses 10% povidone iodine. Problems in the partner environment based on the results of the initial survey, post partum mothers do not know that perineal care can use 15% red betel leaf gel. The purpose of this community service is to increase knowledge. To increase knowledge of postpartum mothers about preventing infection and healing perineal wounds by using 15% red betel leaf gel, postpartum mothers are willing to properly treat their perineal wounds using 15% red betel leaf gel. Community service activities in the form of assessing postpartum mother's knowledge about perineal care before and after being given counseling and demonstrations on how to treat perineal tears with 15% red betel gel and treating perineal tears using 15% red betel gel 2 times a day according to established procedures. The results of community service obtained that there was an increase in knowledge of postpartum mothers to 75% in the good category and acceleration of perineal tear healing 80% of perineal wounds healed within < 5 days. Counseling is useful in increasing mother's knowledge and giving 15% red betel gel for the treatment of perineal tears to accelerate the healing of postpartum mothers' perineal wounds. From the results obtained, it is necessary to follow up on community service on larger targets and areas.
