Skrining Anemia Sejak Dini, Ciptakan Remaja Putri Tangguh Anti-Stunting

Anemia pada remaja putri merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang dapat berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kualitas hidup dan risiko stunting pada generasi berikutnya. Masa remaja merupakan periode kritis dengan peningkatan kebutuhan zat besi akibat pertumbuhan pesat dan menstruasi, sehingga deteksi dini melalui skrining hemoglobin menjadi sangat penting. Pengabdian ini bertujuan melaksanakan skrining anemia menggunakan hemoglobinometer digital serta kaitannya dengan upaya pencegahan stunting pada remaja putri. Metode yang diggunakan berupa pengukuran kadar hemoglobin, wawancara asupan gizi, serta penilaian pengetahuan tentang anemia dan minum Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan masih ditemukan 7% anemia pada remaja putri, dengan faktor risiko utama berupa asupan zat gizi yang tidak memadai, durasi menstruasi yang panjang, dan rendahnya kepatuhan konsumsi TTD. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa anemia berhubungan dengan gangguan pertumbuhan linear melalui mekanisme penurunan kapasitas pengangkutan oksigen dan hambatan metabolisme hormon pertumbuhan. Skrining anemia berbasis sekolah terbukti efektif mengidentifikasi kasus anemia yang sebelumnya tidak terdeteksi dan dapat menjadi titik awal intervensi komprehensif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan program TTD mingguan, edukasi gizi terstruktur, dan pelaksanaan skrining Hb secara berkala sebagai langkah strategis menciptakan remaja putri tangguh anti-stunting.
